Law implicating Kwaw Kese “stupid” – Gabby

Former Executive Director of pro-opposition think tank, Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere Darko has described as “stupid” the law which incriminates hiplife artiste Kwaw Kese for smoking weed.

Abodam, as he is popularly known, has been handed a two-week prison remand for using a narcotic drug without lawful authority.

He was arrested Saturday night while smoking weed in public in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

Commenting on the development, the policy analyst wrote on his Facebook, Tuesday that although he does not endorse the use of drugs, the basis for “Abodam’s” arrest is flawed.

“So why should a very popular musician who, I presume, had no previous record, be remanded in jail for smoking weed? Is it because of that stupid law passed by the NPP in a panic reaction to MV Benjamin?” he queried.

He added: “I am not for any drugs (weed, cocaine, heroin, alcohol, cigarette etc) but this law is absolutely stupid!”
