A 26 -year -old graduate of Tanoso Community Health Nursing Training school, died in a swimming pool at Tanoso in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Briefing the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani, Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah said deceased Dickson Frimpong on November 4, organised a party with friends and decided to swim in the pool.
He, however dived into an eight feet section of the pool and one of his friends became suspicious when the deceased was not showing up.
He said the friend therefore entered the pool to find out what was happening and discovered Dickson lying helplessly in the pool and brought him up.
He was rushed to the Sunyani Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
ASP Tawiah said the body of deceased has been deposited at the hospital pending autopsy whilst police is investigating the case.
