NDC vice chairman seizes toilet in Obuasi

Operator and Manager of a public toilet in Bongobiri a community in Obuasi have told shaft fm news that a group of angry youth led the the newly elected vice chairman of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) Alhaji Djebril Zamba this morning seized and locked up the public toilet serving the area .

According to Rabiatu Mohammed caretaker of the latrine, she secured documents to enable her take and operate the said facility in January 2012 when now the deputy minister of Children, Gender and Social protection Hon John Alexander Ackon was the municipal chief executive for Obuasi,Shaft news can confirm that the agreement was reached by the Assembly and Madam Raibiatu to take care of the facility with necessary documentation which Shaft news have intercepted a copy of the document

It almost turned bloody as the vice chairman on top of his voice shouted ”we will collect it and give it to someone who respect to manage it”.

Information gathered by shaft news indicates that Madam Rabiatu used to run on errand to the former women’s organizer Georgina Baffour who helped her secure the toilet but along the way stopped following her and decided to contest for the deputy women’s organiser.

The now vice chairman also belonging to the camp of madam Georgina has therefore decided to use his post as Vice Chair to collect the facility for another individual,

It took the intervention of the police to separate the two parties. When shaft News got to the Central police station, we were told that the municipal chief Executive has called to settle the toilet case in his office.
