Fire guts six-bedroom house in Tema

A six-bedroom apartment in Tema’s Community 20 was on Monday morning razed by fire, our correspondent said on Midday Live.

The flame started at 9:00am but took fire officers hours to bring it under control.

TV3’s Josephine Frempong said the fire started from the building’s garage, where two cars were said to have been parked.

The cause of the fire has not yet been made known though investigations have been launched.

It took fire officers from the Nungua Fire Station and later Tema station to fight the fire.

Two gentlemen and a lady were said to be in the house at the time of the fire but they escaped.

They are currently at the Sakumono Hospital where they are receiving medical treatment, our correspondent said.
