Nanumba Youth calls for peace

The Nanumba Youth Association (NAYA) has appealed to the general public and the people of Nunung in particular to stay calm and allow the security agencies to work and apprehend the culprits involved in the murder of Naa Dasana Abdulai Andani, the late chief of Bimbila.

A statement signed by Dr. Hafez Adam Taher, President of NAYA and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the association condemns in no uncertain terms the unfortunate incident.

He said the association will cooperate with the security agencies in their quest to bring the perpetrators of the act to book. Dr. Taher commended the Regional Minister and the Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) for the swift manner in adopting measures to prevent reprisal attacks in the area.

He on behalf of the association expressed their sincerest condolences to the bereaved families and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
