Government says it is concerned about the issues raised by the Committee for Joint Action that the country is going through difficult times.
The Deputy Minister of Information and Media Relations, Murtala Mohammed, speaking to Radio Ghana on “Behind the News” said government is putting measures to address the challenges.
The Committee for Joint Action (CJA) condemned what it called the imposition of hardship on the people of Ghana last year.
At a News Conference in Accra, a leading member of the group and Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, said despite all the efforts by the CJA for about eight years, the conditions of life of ordinary Ghanaians have not improved.
According to Mr Pratt, the CJA has over the eight years insisted that public office holders have an obligation to work to make life better for the ordinary citizens, by protesting against high utility tariffs and petroleum price increase.
