President John Mahama has sent his condolences to the family of the late Harry R. Sawyerr, elder statesman and former Vice Chairman of the NDC Council of Elders.
Harry Sawyer, a renowned quantity surveyor, politician and Ga Statesman passed on in the morning of Friday, November 08, 2013 at the age of 87.
In a press release from Flagstaff House copied to the Ghana News Agency on Sunday, President Mahama noted that ‘Grandpa’ Harry Sawyerr had paid his dues to Ghana, recalling his exemplary contributions as Minister for Transportation & Communication, Minister for Education and member of the Council of State.
“Uncle Harry lived a fulfilled life as a public servant and senior elder of our party, the great NDC”, President Mahama stated.
