PNC will appoint 77 ministers

Mr. Gabriel Pwamang, the General Secretary of the Peoples’ National Convention (PNC), has condemned both the NDC and NPP for appointing too many ministers.

Speaking to students of the University of Ghana as part of a Programme to educate students on the current political situation in the country, Mr. Pwamang asserted that the PNC would appoint not more than 77 ministers when it is voted into power in 2004.

He told the students, “Don’t make that mistake and stay back from voting in the next elections to kick NPP out for the betterment of your lives.”

He said it was unfortunate that his party supported the NPP to unseat the NDC in the last elections only to come and adopt the same ideologies and move a step forward to join the HIPC initiative, reducing Ghana to nothing before the international community.
