Plant engineer crushed to death by crane

A construction worker, David Amedzro, about 42 years old, died instantly on Wednesday when he got crushed by a crane while working at a project site at La, opposite the La General Clinic in the capital, Accra.

The deceased, who lived at Gbawe, was with four others at the project site when the accident occurred.

His guts were disemboweled and torso dismembered from his nether part.

XYZ News Reporter, Miriam Hayford, who went to the accident scene, said the Police, Fire Officers and eyewitnesses said the accident occurred when the crane lost balance.

Four others who were at the top of the crane to ensure it was balanced were able to climb down upon an alert just before the accident. Amedzro, who, according to eyewitnesses, seemed unusually dull on Thursday, could not climb down fast enough and so got toppled together with the crane and got crushed to death.

He was a plants engineer, according to his colleague workers.
