Video: Mahama’s swearing-in

John Dramani Mahama was on January 7, 2013 sworn in as the 4th President of the 4th Republic by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Justice Georgina Wood. Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah was also sworn into office by the Chief Justice on that fateful day at the event grounds at the Independence Square in Accra.

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) including its Parliamentarians at the time boycotted the inaugural ceremony and indicated to challenge the Electoral Commission’s declaration at the Supreme Court.
