Christians asked to promote unity and love

Mr. Emmanuel Twi-Yeboah, Lay Movement Chair of the Techiman Circuit Methodist Church has advised Christians to promote unity and emulate Jesus Christ by exhibiting love to the needy in their communities.

Mr. Twi-Yeboah gave the advice when he addressed about 1000 members of the Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary (SWMA) of the Techiman Circuit, during its second biennial conference at Nkwaeso, in the Techiman Municipality of the Brong-Ahafo Region.

The SWMA is a women’s wing movement in the Methodist Church of Ghana, and it’s four-day conference was on the theme: “Let Love Be Genuine”.

He said love should be a common virtue in the association and entreated members to demonstrate that among themselves and towards everyone in their communities.

Mr. Twi-Yeboah urged members of the church to study God’s Word thoroughly because that was the authentic teachings of Christ, adding that: “true love helps others to become better in the society”.

Reverend Emmanuel N.K. Quartey-Papafio, Minister in-charge of Nkwaeso Circuit, advised Christians to avoid hypocrisy and love one another just as Jesus Christ, the model of all Christians did.”

Madam Rita Asante Circuit President of the SWMA disclosed that, the SWMA aims at promoting unity and to help the less privileged in society, among others.
