Workers Asked To Ensure Peace At Twifo Hemang

Twifo Hemang (C/R) Aug. 27, – Workers of the Twifo Oil Palm Plantation (TOPP) have been asked to ensure peace and stability in the Twifo Hemang area to sustain development projects which had taken off through the company’s influence. Dr Boasiako Omane-Antwi, Controller of Finance and Administration of TOPP at Twifo Praso, made the call at the16th annual congress of the Twifo-Hemang Students’ Union at Twifo Hemang in the Central Region. Dr Omane-Antwi said TOPP being the largest agro-industrial establishment in the region has created job opportunities of which the youth and the farmers could take advantage to improve their lives. He, however, regretted that time was being spent on petty issues and litigations which, to a great extent, could retard the progress of the area. He said since potentials of Twifo are now attracting investors to the area, there is the need for the citizens to adopt a positive attitude and support the company in its developments. He advised the students to educate their parents and the public against their negative attitudes that could retard the development of the area.
