2013 BECE ends today

The 2013 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is scheduled to end on Monday, June 24, 2013.

Candidates will write French Language and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to wrap up an eight-day test, which will qualify them for senior high education.

391,079 candidates from 11,778 private and public junior high schools sat for this year’s exam.

Out of the total number, 209,381 are males while 181,698 are females. The total number is an increase of 14,215 over last year’s total of 376,859.

The result is expected to be released by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) in August, 2013.
