President John Mahama has asked Ghanaians to be steadfast and trust that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

“We always say the darkest hour is before the dawn; and with intersection you can always see that there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel,” he said at a meeting of leaders of the Christian community who called on him at Flagstaff House.

According to the President, Ghana may be going through turbulence and crisis but he said: “I believe with God on our side we shall come through this as we always have done and continue to be a nation God favours.

“We have an energy problem which was caused be distraction of the West African Gas pipeline and problems with water, recently some unions and workers’ group have decided to withdraw their services.

“These are all issues that engages one attention and cause you stress and sleepless nights but I am sure that with our continued intervention [Prayers] we shall overcome all these problems and our ship will sail in calmer waters,” he said.”

President Mahama in a meeting with the clergy asked that they explained to their various congregations that there is hope for the future.
