Four Ghanaian Referees For CAF Competition

Accra, Aug. 19, – SWAG referee of the year Alex Quartey of Accra will handle the African Cup Winners’ Cup first leg quarter final match between Mansoura of Egypt and Jomo Cosmos of South Africa slated for Egypt on Friday, September five. A press release issued in Accra by the Referees’ Association of Ghana on Tuesday said FIFA referees N. Djomoah and F. Brobbey of Koforidua and Accra, respectively would run the lines. Takoradi-based FIFA referee F. K. Mensah will accompany Obuasi Goldfields to Mozambique for their second round match of the African Club championship league against Ferroviario of Mozambique on Saturday, September six. It said Kumasi-based FIFA referee C. K. Frempong-Manso will be stand-by referee in the Goldfields/Zamalek of Egypt Club championship league match on Sunday, September 21 at the Len Clay stadium.
