Nana Addo Begged Us Not To Attend Mahama’s Investiture

-NPP MP Reveals

One of the 123 opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament (MPs) has revealed exclusively to The Informer that they (NPP MPs) decided “to boycott John Mahama’s inauguration last Monday so as to prevent the possibility of their flagbearer, Williams Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from collapsing again”

He explained that between Saturday and Sunday (8, 9 December last year) Nana Akufo-Addo collapsed on two occasions, when he realized that his dream of becoming president will never materialized.

The NPP MP said, many of them had wanted to attend the investiture of President John Dramani Mahama, but Nana Addo’s unfortunate decision not to attend made them to also boycott the inauguration.

“In fact, Nana Addo pleaded with us not to attend the inauguration, because if we do, and he did not, he will look very bad before Ghanaians and the international community”, he revealed; and said the boycott staged by the flagbearer and the party will affect the party’s fortunes in any future elections.

“We should have been allowed to attend the investiture ceremony whiles the party battles its case in court and not to decree that no party member should show up at such national event”, the angry MP concluded.
