President appoints new head of Greater Accra Lands Commission

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Nene Atsure Benta III, Mankralo of the Prampram Traditional Area, as the acting Chairperson of the Greater Accra Regional Lands Commission.

A statement from the presidency signed by the Secretary to the President, J.K. Bebaako-Mensah and issued by the ministry of information in Accra on Saturday said this was in furtherance of the President’s Critical Policy Actions outlined last month.

The statement said the appointment takes immediate effect.

The statement said President Mahama had also directed the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources to ensure that the National Lands Commission exercised “a closer and effective supervision of all Regional Lands Commissions”.
