KMA Chief Executive receives high marks from MP

The Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, Mr. Samuel Sarpong, has received high marks for the cooperation and rapport established with Members of Parliament (MPs) in the metropolis.

Mr. Isaac Osei, the MP for Subin, said his prompt response and release of the MPs’ share of the Common Fund towards the implementation of development projects in their constituencies deserved commendation.

He said this when the mayor joined him to officially inaugurate the rehabilitated of Adum railway pedestrian footbridge in Kumasi.

The project cost GH¢31,739.00 and was financed by Mr. Osei with his share of the Common Fund.

He said it was important for leaders to make the well-being and improvement in the living conditions of the people their main focus and they should put the progress of the society ahead of their personal interest and convenience.

Mr. Osei pledged to work closely with Mr. Sarpong and the assembly to better the lives of the people.

Mr. Sarpong said he would support any initiative that would help to transform the area.

The rehabilitation of the footbridge and the completion of another in front of the Kumasi Central Market to link Adum would allow for free movement of pedestrians in the Business District of the city.
