Let’s Sing the success of gov’t and ignore the NDP-Sinare

Story by: Samuel Ablordeppey

Ghana’s ambassador to Egypt Alhaji Said Sinare have called on the rank and file of the ruling National Democratic Congress to stay resolute and work tirelessly towards a decisive victory in the December polls and ignore the newly formed party by some aggrieved members of the National Democratic Party (NDP).

He said, though the NDC is going through a difficult time in its political history, it is critical for the supporters of the party to ignore divisive and distractive tendencies from the opposition elements and concentrate on informing Ghanaians of the progress made under the president Mills led government three and half years on.

‘’We should not waste our time commenting on the NDP; rather, let all, from the branches, wards, constituencies, the MMDCE’S. Ministers and deputy ministers and all who love the party to start singing and touting the achievements of government in their respective areas.’’

According to a Alhaji Sinare who is also a vice chairman of the party, any attempt to concentrate on the NDP will derail the party’s focus, thus the need to be resilient and disregard any attempt by some members of the party and their intent of making the president a one term president.

In a telephone interview the former Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso Central constituency In Accra said ‘’the NDC will not cry over spilt milk but will pick up the pieces and go into the December election with one aim, to win and win convincingly.’’

The Ghana ambassador to Egypt maintained that the Mills government has achieved significant progress and implemented more than 90 % of the manifesto pledge. ‘’President Mills has succeeded in delivering on the social; contract it made to the good people of Ghana in the run up to the 2008 elections.’’

He announced that the song of a Better Ghana has been fully and appreciably executed to the joy of the people of Ghana. It shows the NDC has the interest of Ghanaians at heart.

Alhaji Sinare therefore called on all members of the ruling government to rally behind President Mills in winning the 2012 elections, and not be trapped into the diversionary tactic of the NPP and its new formed political (friends (NDP).

He contended that the NDC is a progressive and a developmentally oriented party which advances the wishes and aspirations of the people.

‘’This is the time for the NDC to stand united and be on the qui vive, describing the achievements of the president Mills led government as not raining but pouring.

The NDC is getting stronger currently than it used to be, all we need do, is for all of is to launch into the deep and sing the achievements of the NDC for a brighter 2013.
