Ghana Chapter of ASIS to be inaugurated on July 6

The Ghana Chapter (Chapter 278) of American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) would be inaugurated at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra on Friday, July 6. A statement issued by Mr. James Morris, Secretary ASIS Ghana Chapter (Chapter 278) copied to Ghana News Agency in Accra, said the inauguration would be an opportunity for the Chapter to promote and publicise the work of security professionals and the industry in Ghana to drive best standards in the security industry for Ghana and the sub-region.

ASIS is the world’s largest and best recognised security association with around 40,000 members, made up of security professionals from around the globe.

Founded in 1955, ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programmes and materials that address broad security interests such as the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits as well as specific security topics.

In late 2011, ASIS Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, gave approval for the formation of the Ghana Chapter of ASIS, the first in West Africa outside Nigeria.**
