Big Ada, May 20, GNA – Madam Atsupe Gorleku Quarshie, the New Patriotic Party) parliamentary candidate for Ada, has appealed to the electorate to vote for her in the 2012 election to bring development to the area She said it was time the people of Ada gave a woman the privilege to represent them in parliament to test her performance and stop relegating them to the background. Madam Quarshie, who made the appeal at a rally at Big Ada, said when given the nod she would represent the voiceless and the marginalized as well as be 93a true mother for all the people of the Ada District.”
She said the NPP had promised fee-free education from the basic to the second-cycle level and that Ada under her leadership would not be left out. Touching on jobs in the area, Madam Quarshie told the GNA in an interview that Ada is a fishing community and that the former President John Agyekum Kufuor’s administration made plan to build a cold store complex and a fishing landing site. She said when voted into Parliament she would ensure that the project was brought on board and completed to the satisfaction of the people.
