Organisation donates to orphans, challenged persons

Akim Ofoase (E/R), May 6, GNA – Orphans at the Justice Orphanage at Akim Ofoase in the Eastern Region have received food items, used clothing and soft drinks from 91Emmoa Merenie,’ a non-governmental organization (NGO).

The NGO also donated bags and shoes to the widows and physically challenged persons in the town. It also organized a 93get-together” entertainment programme for the over 200 children of the orphanage. Mr Justice Ohene, Founder of the Home, stated that it was important that they had received a helping hand to ensure that the children were brought up in a socially acceptable manner. He, therefore, expressed gratitude to the NGO for the gesture. Mrs Augustina Padi, Executive Director of the NGO, stressed that apart from her organization sharing experiences with orphans, it also supported clinics, schools, the physically challenged and villages.
