MP organize extra classes for final year basic school students

Komenda-Kissi (C/R), Feb. 22, GNA – Extra classes organized for final year basic school students in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) constituency have started showing good results.

Mr. Gabriel Gademor, KEEA Municipal Director of Education, said the classes initiated last year by Dr. Joseph Annan, the Member of Parlimant fo= r the constituency, have reduced the number of schools which scored zero percent in the Basic Education Certificate Examination from four in 2009 to two in 2010. He said this when Dr. Annan, visited centres where the extra classes are held. Dr. Annan, a Deputy Minister of Education, thanked the teachers selecte= d for the programme for the good work done and appealed to the students to study hard to pass with good grades Currently, 1,200 students are attending the classes being sponsored by Dr. Annan.
