NDC Chairman urges appointees to be focused

Mamponteng (Ash), Jan. 21, GNA – Alhaji Awal Aziz, Kwabre East Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has welcomed the recent cabinet reshuffle and removal of some Municipal and District Chief Executives (DCEs) as a wake-up call to all appointees to be up and doing.

He said it was important that government appointees become more focused and work hard towards the implementation of the “Better Ghana” agenda of the Mills’ Administration. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Mamponteng, Kwabre East district on Thursday, Alhaji Aziz warned against complacency and abuse of office.

He described as unhealthy the situation where some members of the ruling party were displaying traits of arrogance and disrespect for the law and said this should not be entertained. He called on all Ghanaians to put aside their political differences and unite behind the Government in its efforts at improving the economy to make life comfortable for all. Alhaji Aziz said the Mills Government was on track delivering on its election campaign promises and asked the people to remain confident.
