CDD calls for immediate cessation of charges against Joy FM Editor

The Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) has expressed grave concern over the arrest and formal charge of the Acting News Editor of JOY FM, Mr. Ato Kwamena Dadzie.

It said the arrest is affront to press freedom and, therefore, demanded the immediate cessation of the actions instituted against him.

“We demand a stop to the continued application of Sections 208, 183, 183A and 185 of the Criminal Code of 1960 and call on the Government and Parliament to move to repeal these archaic and obnoxious provisions of our Criminal Code.”
