Delta Air Lines to introduce Accra-Atlanta flight next year

Accra, Dec. 10, GNA – Management of Delta Air Lines would from next year June commence a second non-stop service with three weekly flights between Accra and the world’s largest airline hub in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. A statement signed by Mr Bobby Bryan, Delta Commercial Manager for West and East Africa, on Thursday said the company was committed to customer satisfaction hence the new route to meet their needs.

“Customer feedback matters to us and we’ve responded by re-timing our schedule to improve our passengers’ travel experience at John F. Kennedy International Airport and provide them increased travel options,” he said. “We’re delighted we’ll soon be offering even more nonstop service to the United States when our Atlanta flight launches next June.” “Ghana is an important market for Delta and we’re proud to have served Accra for three years.”

Mr Bryan said due the company’s successful operation Delta would on Friday mark the third anniversary of the start of its non-stop service between Accra’s Kotoka International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Delta is the first major US carrier to operate scheduled non-stop service from Ghana and has flown more than 230,000 passengers between Accra and New York since 2006.

The company had recently re-timed its New York-JFK service to arrive earlier in the U.S., enabling passengers to connect more comfortably onto more than 50 destinations.
