CHRAJ settles 86 cases in Kwahu West Municipality

Nkawkaw, Jan. 8, GNA – The Kwahu West Municipal office of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), settled 86 out of 92 human rights related cases reported to it last year. Forty-two of the cases were child and spousal maintenance related ones, such as child labour and deprivation. Mr Kwabena Osei, the Municipal Director of CHRAJ, disclosed this in an interview with the GNA at Nkawkaw on Wednesday. He advised men to accept responsibility for pregnancies, and contribute for the maintenance and education of their children, to help reduce the high rate of street children in the country. Mr Osei said children were the nation’s asset who should be educated to become responsible adults to lead the nation and also contribute to the development of their families.
