The entire executives and members of the National Democratic Congress, Amsterdam branch wish to extend our warmest congratulations to President -elect Prof. John Evans Atta-Mills on his electoral victory which was formally declared on the 3 January,2009 by Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gjan the Electoral commissioner.
Mr.President-elect your victory to the high office of Ghana is a testimony to the confidence that Ghanaians are yearning for a change and new direction. Mr. President -elect the nation is facing an enormous political,social,eoconomic and moral challenges and we hope that you will be able to respond to the expectations and hopes that have been placed in you. It is our fervent hope that you will also use your good office to unite Ghana which is now a polarized nation.
We congratulate Ghanaians for the mature manner in which they conducted themselves before and during the election. We also laud the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan and his team for the able manner in which the election was conducted and the timely and stately manner of the declaration of the results.
