Aspiring MP reshapes Ataase-Junction-Bonsu road

Ataase, (Ash), Oct. 29, GNA – The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for New Edubiase, Mr Degraft Kyei-Baffour, is reshaping the 19-kilometre Ataase-Junction-Bonsu feeder road in the Adansi South District in Ashanti from his own resources. This follows an appeal made by the communities to him during his campaign tour of the area. The road, which is in a deplorable state, makes transportation of goods and services to the marketing centres very difficult. Mr Kyei-Baffour told the Ghana News Agency that he was touched by the plight of the people in the area and decided to help put the road into good shape.

He said the government and COCOBOD had helped to erect poles for the extension of electricity from Ataase-Junction to Hwidiem and were also tarring the Kwame-Adu-Sumuoso feeder road. He presented five streetlight bulbs to the Ataase Community, jerseys and footballs to Obuobi Community and shovels, pick-axes and wheel barrows to Kwafokrom to help in their sanitation programmes. Mr Kyei-Baffour called on the electorate to vote massively for him and Nana Akufo-Addo to ensure the sustainable development of the rural communities.
