Atwea citizens based in US donate 1,500 cedis towards electrification

project

Atwea (Ash), July 22, GNA – Atwea citizens in the Sekyere Central District based in the USA have donated 1,500 Ghana cedis towards the town’s electrification project. The amount had been used to procure some electric bulbs towards the town’s street lighting system, Mr Kwabena Owusu, Chairman of the Unit Committee of the town, told the GNA in an interview. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the community to the donors for the gift and appealed to other non-residents to support the development of the town. Mr Kwaku Boakye, a Unit Committee member, said two out of the four boreholes in the town had broken down and that efforts were being made to rehabilitate them. He appealed to the residents and non-resident citizens to pay their development levies promptly to help rehabilitate them.
