Chicago Ready To Welcome NPP Flagbearer.

The Presidential candidate of Ghana’s ruling party, the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Justice and Attorney General of Ghana, will lead an entourage of senior party officials in a historic visit to Chicago, Illinois and the Mid-West from June 5 – June 7, 2008.. The popular Presidential candidate, who is slated to become the next President of the Republic of Ghana come January 9, 2009, will be accompanied by some former Presidential aspirants, including Hon. Alan Kyeremateng, (popularly referred to as Alan Cash), and the runner-up to the Presidential primaries held on December 22, 2007 in Accra, Ghana.

Others are Hon. Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy, and Hon.Yaw Osarfo Marfo, all former Presidential aspirants who had contested the flagbearership with Nana Addo in the December 2007 presidential primaries, as well as the outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Foso, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong. There are also other party faithful’s accompanying Nana Akufo- Addo for his engagements in Chicago and the Mid-West.

There will be a cocktail reception at the Seneca Hotel, on Delaware Street on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from 7-9 pm, a luncheon in downtown Chicago, a Town Hall meeting at the Four Point Sheraton, on 75th and Cicero, Chicago on Friday June 6th, 2008, and a Dinner-Dance at Bolingbrook, Illinois later Friday evening.
