Aburi-Nsawam NPP Primary called off again

Nsawam, May 31, GNA- The New Patriotic Party (NPP), primaries to elect a candidate to contest the Aburi-Nsawam constituency seat, has been called off on Tuesday.

The contest, originally slated for Sunday, May 25, was postponed to Tuesday, May 27 and called off again. The Ghana News Agency (GNA) observed that the delegates who turned up to vote on Tuesday were disappointed and there was no official from the Electoral Commission. Two deputy ministers are vying to be chosen to contest the seat in the 2008 Election.

They are, Mr Magnus Opare Asamoah, deputy Minister of Transportation and incumbent Member of Parliament and Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah, deputy Minister for Education, Science and Sports. The Eastern Regional secretariat of the NPP, is yet to fix a new date for the primaries.
