Krowo NPP constituency chairman advice supporters against insults

Accra, April 10, GNA- Nii Bubui Kakai, Krowo constituency chairman of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), has advised supporters of aspiring members of parliament of the party to desist from harassing and insulting their political opponents. He said “By employing abusive language, you raise tension and the peace of the area is also disturbed ahead of the primaries.” Nii Kakai, at a meeting with party supporters at Nungua on Wednesday, advised aspiring members of parliament to tell the electorate about their programmes for the constituency instead of embanking on insults.

The Constituency chairman expressed worry that some aspirants were openly insulting and posting negative materials about their opponents, adding “I will not hesitate to report any offender to the police if caught or identified.” Five NPP candidates would be contesting the party’s primaries slated for April 15 2008, to get the nod to contest for the Krowo seat in the 2008 Election. They are incumbent MP Abraham Laryea Odai, Sylvanus Botwe, Patience Okpe, Adjei Boye and Mr Ayikwei Otoo.
