38th Cycle of LEAP Payments begins

The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has begun the 38th Cycle payments of the Livelihood Empowerment against poverty programme.

During the cycle, major events that will take place are, the upward adjustment of the amount to beneficiaries, payment to additional 50,000 beneficiary households and the beginning of LEAP 1000, which is meant for children under 1000 days old.

The Ministry is also paying LEAP to inmates of Leprosarium’s, witch camps and Government-run orphanages.

The photos attached are some payment centres at the Ho Leprosarium in the Volta Region and Sakpeliga in the Zebilla District of the Upper East Region.
