34th conference of Catholic Heads opens

…. on Wednesday at Takoradi

Preparations were far advanced to meet the Archbishop of Cape Coast, Most Rev. Matthias Kobena Nketsiah, to officially open the 34th Annual National Conference of the Association of Catholic Heads of Higher Institutions (ACHHI) at St. Mary’s Seminary Senior High School at Apowa – Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana.

The weeklong conference was under the theme: ‘Management of Mission Schools in Ghana; Challenges and the Way forward.’

The conference was attended by all heads of Senior High schools and Technical Institutions both private and public who are Catholics in the country. The opening ceremony was chaired by Most Rev. Matthias Kobena Nkestiah, Archbishop of Cape Coast and the key note he addressed was expected to be delivered by Sir Ofsuaba Mensah Banahene, former Get-Fund Administrator of Ghana.

Other people who were looking forward to grace the occasion include the Western Regional Minsiter, Ebenezer Kwadwo Teye Addo, the Western Regional Director of Education, the Regional Managers of Education in the Region, the Metreo Director of Education and Traditional Leaders of Ahanta West.

The conference which started on Tuesday, 24th Feb. 2014 is expected to end on Friday, 28th Feb,2014.
