3 Fulani armed robbers arrested at Babato

The Brong Ahafo Regional Police have arrested three suspected Fulani armed robbers believed to have attacked the Engen Filling Station along the Kintampo Tamale Highway and made away with GH?1,100.00.

Police Superintendent Alhaji Maama Arhin, the Regional Crime Officer, told reporters that, on Wednesday, the robbers also shot and killed one Yaw Adade, a driver of a DAF tanker, with registration number GT8039-09, who was then discharging fuel at the filling station.

Supt Alhaji Arhin stated that on September 23, the Police had information at midday about the incident and quickly went to the scene but the robbers had bolted with the money before they arrived.

He said the tanker driver was rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

He said the Police Intelligent report led to the arrest of Ali Umaru, Bukari Seidu, Idrisu Abdul- Salam at Babato in the Kintampo South District and they had since been remanded into prison custody on charges of robbery and murder.
