21 Days Fasting and Prayer

Breaking the Stronghold

THE CHRISTIAN JOURNAL, Bronx NY – During the month of August, Holy Fire Dynamic Word Church set aside 21 Days for fasting and prayer. How do we seek God? One can never say it enough than through fasting and prayer.

Fasting helps us focus our priorities on God. It puts God first and allows us to hear His voice, receive His direction and blessings.

If we want our lives, marriage, work and everything to succeed, then we have to put God first.

“The Bible says that great men of God such as Moses, Elijah, Daniel, Paul and Jesus himself fasted so that they might draw closer to God” Prophet Eric Owusu said.

He said most of the time the glory of God does not shine in our lives because our candle is turned down, but when your candle stick is lit it always shine on you and turn things into your favor. Isaiah 60:1 “Arise and shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you”.

He declared that from now on God’s light shines in every one’s life quoting John 8:12 “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

There were many testimonies, one by a police officer who had a serious court case during the fasting; The Prophet had prophesied to him that his case will be dismissed in the name of God. The officer testifies that indeed when he went for the hearing the judge dismissed his case. He was so happy and did not know how to thank God.

There was another woman who had a lump in her breast after examination and later went for a second exam during the fasting and it has disappeared. The service ended with the favorite line, Lord put my candle stick back. It was a month of divine visitation.
