The Zongo Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his election to lead affairs of the nation in the recent General poll.
It said his election affirms the confidence that Ghanaians have in the President and NDC in general to advance the cause of the nation for the wellbeing of the masses.
A statement signed by Alhaji Othman Yahya, Ashanti Regional Coordinator and Alhaji Alhassan Ibn Ibrahim, Regional Secretary and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Kumasi, urged the citizenry to be supportive of the President in order to achieve his development objectives.
It expressed the hope that the President would work harder to transform the Zongo communities, particularly in the areas of infrastructural, educational and health development.
The statement reminded stakeholders of the need to unite and be patriotic in all their endeavour since national development is a shared responsibility.
