Yendi rainstorm victims get relief items

The Yendi Municipal Assembly together with the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) had presented large quantity of relief items in support of victims of a powerful rainstorm, which hit the municipality, last month.

These included 80 bundles of roofing sheets, five bales of blankets, 300 pieces of plastic plates and equal number of cups, three bales of used clothing, 50 buckets and large quantity of mosquito coil.

Alhaji Issah Zakariah, Yendi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), presenting the items advised the people to engage qualified professionals and artisans to construct buildings.

Again, they should use the quality materials and in the right quantities to make their buildings strong.

The MCE used the occasion to encourage the residents to plant trees to serve as wind break.
