World Post Day observed in Accra

Accra, Oct. 11, GNA – This year’s World Post Day, has been marked at the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School(PRESEC) in Accra, to honour the School for winning a quiz competition in March this year, during the observation of the international tuberculosis (TB) Stamp Seal Competition.

The Day which was on the theme: “Reaching Everyone Everywhere” was hosted by PRESEC in collaboration with Club Vision Ghana, a non-governmental organisation. The Seal Competition was aimed at creating awareness about the dangerous effects of TB.

Mr Prince Derek Adjei, the Chief Executive Officer of Intelligence Quotients (IQ), said his organisation and Ghana Post had started a school postal project for all schools in the 10 regions to encourage students to write letters in the English language. Mr Adjei said to start the project, a special pre-paid envelopes bearing PRESEC logo would be delivered to the school.

Mr Joseph Asare, Headmaster of (PRESEC) said the students had always performed very well in science.

Master Agana Agana-Nsiire, the Senior Prefect, said the schools was making efforts to curb the use of narcotic drugs among students.
