Work To Start On Nkawkaw Lorry Park

The government has awarded a contract for the construction of a 3.2 billion cedis lorry park for Nkawkaw under the first phase of Urban V Project to ease congestion at the present lorry park.

Jasoung Limited, a construction firm is undertaking the project, which is scheduled for completion in July.

The Kwahu South District Chief Executive, Mr Raymond Osafo Gyan announced this when he handed over the site for the project to the contractor at Nkawkaw on Wednesday.

He said stores would be constructed around the park. Roads in the town would be constructed under the second phase of the project.

The DCE advised the contractor to work hard to complete the project on schedule to provide adequate parking space for vehicles in the town.

Mr Kofi Onwona Asante, Managing Director of Tropical Architect Limited, consultant of the project, advised the contractor to use quality materials to execute the project.

The Managing Director of Jasoung Limited, Mr John Apati Sahyoun called for co-operation between all the stakeholders of the project for the contract to be completed on schedule.
