Work on resurfacing of grounds at the Press Centre begins

Accra, June 23, GNA – The National Executive Committee of Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Thursday announced the closure of the Ghana International Press Centre (GiPC) on Friday, June 24, for resurfacing of the grounds to begin.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Bright Blewu, General Secretary of GJA said the Centre would be closed to vehicular traffic from 3:00 pm on Friday June 24, until Sunday June 26.

It said the closure was to make room for the truck and other equipment that would be deployed for the two-day crash programme.

The statement said the resurface work was scheduled for Friday, 17 June to Sunday 19 June, but had to be postponed for a week for technical reasons.
