Women group presents gifts to orphanage

Denase (Ash), Aug. 23, GNA – The Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary of the Mount Camel Methodist Church in Kumasi has presented assorted gifts to the orphans of the Ashan Children’s Home at Denase in the Afigya-Kwabre District.

The donation included used clothing, pampers, rice, vegetable oil, sugar, milk, loaves of bread and fruit drinks.

Ms Charity Asante, the Vice President of the group, said the donation was their contribution towards helping to make life more comfortable for the children.

She said as Christian mothers they were eager to be associated with efforts at caring for the needy, under-privileged and the socially disadvantaged.

Nana Konadu Yiadom, the Proprietor of the Home, said they were grateful to the women group and the entire congregation of the Church for their regular visits.

Also there to donate to the Home, was the Students Union of the Abundant Life Assemblies of God Church at Bohyen.

They also donated second hand clothings and some food items.

The Union’s President, Frank Asamoah, said the donation was part of their annual tradition.

Mr William Tenkorang, Supervisor of the Home, who received the gifts, also thanked the students for the gesture.
