Western Region road contractors elect new executives

Takoradi, March 24, GNA – The Western Regional Association of Road Contractors has elected new executives to serve a four-year term. They are Mr. George Amoako Quaicoe, Chairman, Mr. Joseph Essilfie, Vice-chairman, Nana Serwah Hammond, treasurer and Mr. Seth Osafo, Technic= al Advisor. They were sworn into office by Mr. Emmanuel Opoku-Mensah, the Wester= n Regional Director of the Electoral Commission.

Mr. Samuel Kofi Addison, the former Regional Chairman of the Association, said road construction in the region was very difficult. He appealed to contractors to execute their jobs well so they could be considered for more jobs.

Mr Addison said the association, with the help of the government, wa= s seeking Eximquaranty Bank to assist contractors to buy equipment from Chi= na and appealed to contractors in the region to join the association to increase its numerical strength. Mr Quaicoe expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and=

said he would continue with the good works of his predecessor.
