Wenchi Constituency of NDC elects new executives

Wenchi (B/A), Nov.09, GNA – Members of the Wenchi Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) last weekend held its delegates’ conference and elected a new 15-member executive. The elected officers; were Mr. Mustapha Adams, Chairman, Alhaji Salia, First Vice Chairman, Mr. Kaasim Abdul, Second Vice Chairman and Mr. Hackin Dauda, Secretary.

The rest were; Mr. Samson Ofori Attah, Assistant Secretary, Mr. Halidu Tijani, Organiser, Mr. Baba Dwomfour, Assistant Organiser, Miss Mary Boakye-Gyan, Treasurer and Mr. Abu Balulu, Assistant Treasurer. Others were; Mr. F. Kwarteng, Propaganda Secretary, Mr. Opoku Kwarkye, Assistant Propaganda Secretary, Nana Kwame Atuahene, Youth Organizer and Mr. Bob Abu, Assistant Youth organizer. Madam Sophia Owusu was elected Women’s Organiser and Miss Doris Bondeine, Assistant Women’s Organiser.

Mr. Owusu Agyemang, a leading member of the party and a Techiman-based barrister advised the executives to unite and respect the views of other members to work together to win the Parliamentary seat in the 2008 elections.

He said the 2008 elections were crucial and asked members of the party to remain firm and committed to the ideals of the party. Mr Owusu Agyemang gave the assurance that the NDC would regain power in 2008 and urged them to maintain the spirit to emerge victorious while they guard against negative practices that could divide them.
