Encroachers on portions of land belonging to the Odorgonno Secondary School in Accra have threatened to lynch the school’s headmistress, Mrs. Mary Amankwah, for influencing their eviction.
The threats were issued through anonymous telephone calls and notes. And due to their seriousness, the headmistress has been compelled to seek police protection.
The Ga District Assembly recently demolished hundreds of structures including kiosks and containers belonging to individuals in the 113-acre land following complaints of encroachment by the school authorities.
The encroachers had not been comfortable with the headmistress determination to halt their activities since she took over administration of the school about three years ago.
