We need buyers for our farm products – Vegetable farmers

Vegetable cultivators who are into tomatoes, okra, pepper, and similar produce within Kutre No. 1, situated in the Berekum East District of the Bono Region, have urged buyers to procure their agricultural goods to avert wastage.

The Chairman of the local Farmers’ Association in Berekum, Mr. Martin Kwame Owusu has stated that it is the opportune moment for them to cultivate okra and other vegetables, yet they encounter challenges in attracting buyers. Consequently, they are appealing to all traders of okra and other vegetables to visit Kutre No.1 to purchase their produce and thereby bolster their agricultural endeavors.

Several farmers have urgently appealed to the government for intervention, requesting assistance in securing timely buyers for their products to prevent their investments from being squandered. Others have advocated for the establishment of storage facilities to preserve fresh okra, thereby enhancing the efficiency of their agricultural endeavors.
