The West African Examinations Council says any final-year Senior High School student sitting for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination caught cheating in the International examination risks losing their entire WASSCE results.
“The Council wishes to assure all stakeholders and members of the public that all the necessary test security measures have been put in place to ensure that the examination is conducted successfully
The Council wishes to caution all Heads of School, Supervisors, and Invigilators to desist from this practice, as all those involved will be dealt with according to the rules and regulations of the examination,” WAEC said in a statement.
The not-for-profit-making organization (WAEC) added that “The Council will not hesitate to nullify the entries of such candidates, and those who manage to sneak in will have their entire results cancelled if found out.
The Council’s warning comes after the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, admonished all teaching and non-teaching staff of the Ghana Education Service to uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability in the 2025 WASSCE for School.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Clement Apaak, in a statement on behalf of the Minister for Education, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, said the credibility and integrity of the WASSCE and BECE processes must be upheld at all times.
The integrity of our examinations is non-negotiable, and all teaching and non-teaching staff are expected to uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and accountability,” the Deputy Education Minister stated.
