Two brothers, Kofi Francis, 27, and his elder brother, 35, were severely beaten and stripped naked at Sefwi Adwoafua in the Western region for allegedly harvesting and stealing a bunch of cassava on a retired teacher’s farm.
The tip-toeing ‘thieves’ from a report filed by Nyankonton Mu Nsem’s Odeshiba Kwadwo on Sunday, May 8, 2016 harvested the cassava but luck eluded them as they were caught escaping with their booty.
The suspects when asked by the 61-year-old retired teacher, Master Adeyah said they were going to use the stolen cassava for fufu.
Master Adeyah according to Odeshia held the ‘thieves’ and raised an alarm attracting villagers who stormed the scene and gave the suspects severe beaten.
The villagers reportedly stripped the suspects naked and subjected them to further humiliation before handing them over to the police.
The suspects though according to information gathered want an out-of-court settlement will be arraigned before court tomorrow [Wednesday].
