Voting in Kpassa still on-going after 1700hrs

Kpassa (V/R), Dec. 7, GNA – Except the Kpassa L. A Primary “A” Polling Station where there was a long queue at 1700 hours election ended at 1700 hours.

Mr Victus Akototse, the presiding officer assured the GNA that all prospective voters in the queue before 1700 hours would be allowed to vote.

He said arrangements have been made for light to be provided for counting of the votes.

At the close of voting 790 people had cast their votes out of the expected 1220 voters.

The Temporary booth at the Yam market recorded 648 votes out of 939 in the register, while at the Konjado Temporary boot 749 people had exercised their franchise out of 1050 registered voters. At the Kpassa JHS ‘A’, 757 cast their votes out of 1083 people who registered. The Temporary booth at Kpasa East recorded 700 votes out of 1036 people who registered and at the L.A. Primary ‘B’ 849 people exercised their franchise out of 1189. At JHS ‘B’, 775 out of 1000 people cast their votes. There was heavy security presence at all the centres in Kpassa.
